The Honorable Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated and presented the Cochin Cancer Research Centre to the public. The project, designed to advance cancer treatment and research, comprises nine floors and four blocks, covering a total built-up area of 6.35 lakh square feet. The facility has been developed as a modern, patient-friendly healthcare and research center, with a total capacity of 451 beds.

The event was presided over by Hon. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Smt. Veena George, in the presence of Hon. Minister for Industries, Law and Coir, Shri. P. Rajeev, Hon. Minister for Finance, Shri. K.N. Balagopal, and the chief guest, Leader of the Opposition, Shri. V.D. Satheesan.
